Submitted in support of nomination for the 2021 Committee of Glen Eira FC.
I’m currently the Director of People Strategy at Melbourne-based global BI software developer Yellowfin and a Director of the North American and Japanese entities with 20+ years of cross-sector experience in a range of roles. I’ve significant experience in strategy and process development, change management, negotiation and advocacy.
I am also the Co-Chair of the Grants Committee (Pro-Bono) of the Melbourne Women’s Fund, which is a giving circle making pivotal grants to emerging Not-For-Profits, working to redress disadvantage for Melbourne women and their families. I’m a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and have undertaken further studies in governance, finance, strategy and risk.
I’m passionate about community and giving back, and believe so much of what I enjoy about being a part of Glen Eira FC is its strong network of amazing volunteers and alignment with these values.
I’ve been an active member of the Glen Eira FC community since 2016. I’m a current Glen Eira FC Committee Member, the U16 Boys Coordinator and am a former Team Manager. I have a boy and girl playing at the social level and am a convert to the beautiful game via the Soccer Mums program!
In 2020 I’ve continued to apply my knowledge of grants for the benefit of the club to successfully obtain grants funding from local, state and federal government and industry procuring $13K of much needed grants this financial year, with another $7K of grants pending. I’m keen to continue this work with the Committee and further leverage the relationships I’ve developed to obtain additional funds to improve club facilities and to support delivery of our great programs.
With your support I’m looking forward to continuing my successful collaboration with the existing GEFC Committee and management team, to continue to manage and mitigate risks to support our ongoing viability as a club, and looking past COVID, to develop strategies to support the next phase of our growth.
