Free Goals

Free to a good home…

1 set of full-size soccer goals including nets.
  • Being full-size, they’re only suitable  for kids 13yo upwards. (Would suit a High School)
  • Made from heavy-duty galvanised steel
  • Could do with a lick of paint
  • Safety note: Back bar should be securely anchored (pegged) into the ground to prevent tipping forward (as per Australian Standard)
  • They come with a trolley and 2 wheels to move them but they are heavy and not very stable on the trolley. Treat them as permanent goals with the advantage that they can be moved 3 or 4 times a year when the goalmouth grass wears out.
  • Looks like they can be disassembled for transportation but they haven’t been apart in 15 years so no promises.
  • Pickup from Mackie Road Reserve, East Bentleigh.

Enquires to Stewart on 0419 322 122.

Let Kids be Kids

Yelling at kids from the sideline is frowned upon at Glen Eira FC.
Especially if it’s negative.

Please report negative yelling parents to Stewart on 0419 322 122. Get a photo.

Reminder that as a requirement of membership, all Glen Eira parents/players are asked to comply with the following terms.

  • I agree to focus on player enjoyment and player development and rather than match results.
  • I agree not to coach from the sideline (unless I am the coach).
  • I agree not to make any negative remarks towards any player (either side).
  • I agree not to speak to any match official whilst a match is in progress.
  • I agree to treat members of the opposition team (adults and children) with decency and respect at all times.

Whilst there will be a proper end-of-season survey in a few weeks, another way we find out how you feel about the club is to see the response we get when we ask for volunteers.

For members who are new this year, here is a little taste of what to expect…

Glen Eira (Vixens) claim their first win

Congratulations to one of Glen Eira’s newest teams on their first win this afternoon. The Glen Eira (Vixens) play in the U13/14 Girls league and we are heartened to hear of a well-deserved 8-0 away win against Packenham United SC in wet conditions today. Well done to Coach Mark and the girls and keep enjoying your football!
