Congratulations to the following Glen Eira FC teams who are vying to play in the 2023 FV Finals Series.

How do FV Finals work?
After the last round of the season, FV conducts Melbourne-wide Finals for each age group and level from U12 upwards.
Do only the tops teams in each league play Finals?
- Usually, yes. For example, let's say all of the U15C Girls leagues across Melbourne consist of U15C-South, U15C-East, U15C-West and U15C-North. One semi-final will be the premiers (top team) from U15C-South against the top team from U15C-East. The other semi- will be the top West team vs top North team. Losers are eliminated and winners play each other in the Grand Final next week to determine the Girls U15C Champions of Melbourne.
- But not always. Sometimes it's the top 2. Sometimes the top 4. Different formats apply, depending on how many leagues there are across Melbourne for a given age group and level.

Finals Dates and Venues
Dates
Week 1 of Finals is the week after the last regular round of the season. The last round varies by competition. Finals Dates by Comp
Venues
FV Finals are played on neutral venues. There is no home team advantage.
Clubs who still have access to their grounds can offer to host FV Finals and they benefit from the canteen revenue. Finals involving a host club's own teams are scheduled at other venues.
Host Clubs are responsible for providing Match Balls, Stretchers and basic First Aid.

Player Eligibility
In order to play for team in Finals, players must have played at least 5 matches for that team in the regular season.
Player Roster
Team Managers must submit a roster of players who will appear on the team sheet for finals matches.
Dispensation
If you are short players, then you can request dispensation to bring in players from lower leagues who haven't played the required 5 matches. The FV Dispensation Policy for community competitions applies.

NOTE: When filing out the form, please click the correct competition followed by the Finals/Play Off exemption dispensation. It will then ask you to provide relevant documents.
Team Sheets & Match Balls
Team Sheets
If you've been using Match Record Books, then keep doing that.
If you've been using Online Team Sheets, then ask Stew to grant your team-level access to Finals leagues.
Results
The team listed first is responsible for reporting the results of a Finals match to FV.
Report to the result immediately after the match to FV on 0400 028 335, or send them to Stewart to be loaded online.
Match Balls
Match balls for Finals matches must be provided by the host club.
In case they aren't (such as they forgot, or when there is no host club because you're at Knox or Darebin which are FV's own venues), then get some Glen Eira FC Match Balls to take with you.
Referee Pays
Teams don't need to worry about paying the match officials for Finals matches.
Clubs are invoiced directly for 50% of the Match Officials fees.
Training Sessions
The last date for training at Lord, Mackie & Marlborough is Friday 15th September.
From Tuesday 19th September, training sessions move to Pitch 2 or 3A/3B at Princes Park, Caulfield South.
Access the carpark via Dover St. Alternatively, park along Bambra Road.
