Photographer Guidelines for Group Shots

• Choose your background first, then assemple the group
  • Use soccer goals or plain grass/trees.
  • Or a club branded marquee/building
  • Avoid distracting backgrounds with people/interesting buildings, etc.
• Nobody's face should partially obscured
• Use a narrow depth of field to keep the attention on the subject.

Photographer Guidelines for Action Shots

A good action shot has...

• Ball in frame
• Players facing towards (or side-on) to camera.
• Glen Eira FC players in possession of the ball.
• Players to take up most of the frame. Ie. Crop out empty space beside/above/below players.
• Use a narrow depth of field to blur the background and keep the attention on the subject.
• No distracting people or objects in frame.
• For promotional purposes, Glen Eira FC players wearing home playing uniform.
