Glen Eira FC teams who are short of players for an upcoming match, may seek to borrow players from other Glen Eira FC teams. A player’s Club Membership Fee doesn’t tie them to a particular team.
Procedure
Restrictions for U8-U11 Teams
There are no competition restrictions on the movement of players between U8-U11 teams.
Restrictions for U12-U21 Teams
To be eligible to play for an U12-U21 team, the borrowed player must come from:
*Team-tied means once a player has played^ 5 or more matches at a given grade, Eg 15B, then they can't play in a lower grade, Eg. 15C.
^Played means they were named on the team sheet.
NOTE 1: U11 Players being borrowed by U12 teams must have their photo on their Player ID card.
NOTE 2: Section 10.1.13 of the Competition Regulations states
“For all Junior competitions, a player who has played at a higher division in a particular age group (e.g. 14As) for five (5) Competition Fixtures or more, cannot drop to a lower category (e.g. 14Bs) within the same age group for his or her Club for the remainder of the Regular Season (including Finals). This Regulation does not, however, prevent a player who is playing ‘up’ an age group returning to his rightful age group in accordance with Regulation 10.1.12.”

Glen Eira FC teams who absolutely cannot find enough players to field a team and wish to forfeit their match must notify Stewart by SMS text message by midnight Thursday in order to avoid a $150 late forfeit fine.
Forfeit notifications must be sent via TEXT message to 0419 322 122.
